MK II Exhaust System.
Mk II system specifications: T304 Stainless Steel, all mandrel
bent, maximum radius bends, 2.5 inch pipes (instead of 2.0 inch),
.065 wall thickness (instead of .042 as other stainless steel
systems); 1/2 inch thick s/s laser cut flanges (instead of 1/4
inch); fully metal cased (4.2) cat flange gaskets with "fire
rings"; heat-treated high-strength socket head (Allen)
flange to cat attachment bolts; high temp locking nuts (4.0
S/C); four inch slip joints (two inch overlap) with s/s TorqueTite
preformed band clamps (triple sealing); double, perpendicular
heavy duty 3/8 inch s/s hanger rods; seamless polished s/s mufflers
with s/s mesh wrapped perforated cores, packed with high temp
fiberglass; polished s/s perforated core resonator oval exhaust
tips to match valance cutouts. The entire system--pipes, mufflers,
tips, clamps, flanges, etc., is T304 stainless steel
*"Straight Pipe" substitutes (also T304 SS) for the
mufflers are available for $75 a pair, plus $25 for polishing,
if desired.
